Minsk – the capital of Belarus – is the city where our journey will begin. A tour of the Belarusian capital will lead you through the historical past and innovative present of Minsk – you will see beautiful strait avenues, and identical architecture, and feel the cozy atmosphere of the main city. The Stalin's Line and Brest Fortress will open you to the most tragic pages of Belarusian history.

You will see the largest collection of military equipment in the CIS. The Great Patriotic War began from Brest and the Brest Fortress was bombed on June 22, exactly at 4 o'clock, You will visit the legendary hero-fortress. After you will go to one of the most beautiful places in Belarus where you can the live symbol of the country - bison - among the pristine nature of Belovezhskaya Pushcha.

Day 1: Minsk City Tour

During the tour, you will see the face of the city, what makes the Belarusian capital “identical” to other European towns – it's wide avenues and cozy streets, a variety of architectural ensembles and parks, modern sports centers, and many many others. For its long history of existence, the city was repeatedly destroyed and burned, but every time it was reborn and rebuilt. Nowadays Minsk is a modern European metropolis with a multimillion population. It is rapidly developing and becoming more beautiful, combining the grandeur of the heritage of antiquity and the innovative thought of the present.

Going to Loshany (8 km) to see the Stalin’s Line

The Historical and Cultural Complex Stalin Line was founded to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Soviet People’s Victory in the Great Patriotic War and was opened to the public on 30 January 2005 in memory of the defenders of Minsk. These unique structures were a part of the defense system created at the beginning of the 1930s along the western border of the Soviet Union. In this open-air military museum, there are authentic pillboxes from the times of the war.

It also features all kinds of trenches and antitank ditches, shooting positions, bunkers for soldiers, and trenches for guns. Here is the largest collection of military and engineering equipment in the CIS, which relates both to the period of the Great Patriotic War and to the postwar period, as well as various types of defensive structures.

Stalin’s Line is an interactive museum: Here you can see the reenactment of historical battles, fire a real weapon from the times of the Great Patriotic War (Mauser, Mosin rifle, or Maksim machine-gun), drive a modern armored vehicle and legendary tanks, and taste soldier's porridge.

Day 2: Brest-Belovezhskaya Pushcha

You will go to the South of Belarus and visit the thousand-year history city of Brest - the third oldest city in Belarus after Polotsk (862) and Turov (980) – the first mention of the city refers to 1019. In the city, you will visit the memorial complex "BREST HERO-FORTRESS" the place that became a symbol of Soviet resistance against Nazi troops during the Second World War. There you will see the ruins of the old fortress, the battlefields, and the monumental sculptures presented in a unified architectural and artistic ensemble of the memorial, that perpetuated the «true story of the legendary heroes of the Brest fortress.

Then you will go 57 km from Brest to Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park which is one of the most famous places in Belarus and plays a very important role in the ecology of Belarus and has a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status.

The park is located 340km to the southwest of Minsk in the Brest region of Belarus It is one of 4 National Parks in Belarus and the largest forest in the lowlands of central Europe. The park is famous for its ancient named oak trees dating back more than 500 years. In all, there are almost 900 species of trees and flowers. It is also home to more than 250 animal and bird species, including the largest population of the rare European bison.
